The first powerd flight was made by the wright brothers in 1903 at kitty hawk beach. The aircraft they used was called the wright flyer and it's first flight lasted 30 seconds. Now that were in the year 2009 106 years from when the right brothers first flew our technology is really advanced from those flimsy wood and cloth machines of only a 100 years ago to our sleek super sonic metal jets.
